# How to quickly rename Layers

## Overview

When programming a show, you create many layers. Before handing it over to operations, it is a good practice to rename the layers on each screen for clarity.

\[Right click] on the Screen Layer directly over the Timeline to open the contextual menu and select {Rename All Layers}.

A pop-up window will appear. Please select a name and enter a starting number for increments.

It will automatically rename all layers using the specified name and incrementing them from the chosen starting number.

## Bonus: Rename a Screen in the Timeline

To rename a screen in the Timeline, double left-click the Screen layer label or single left-click it and press \[F2]. Press \[Enter] to confirm or \[Esc] to cancel.
