Looping Regions
Last updated
We are excited to introduce new looping tools in the Region tab! These tools are designed to help you tackle complex programming scenarios with ease, offering greater flexibility and control over your timeline playback.
With the new looping functionality, you can now loop a section of the Timeline indefinitely or for a specified number of iterations before the playhead continues its progression. This feature is perfect for creating seamless transitions, repeating critical sections, or refining intricate show sequences.
After creating a region in version 11.3, you will notice a Möbius strip toggle appearing to the left of the region label.
Activate Looping: Toggle the Möbius strip icon to enable looping for the selected region. Once activated, the region will loop indefinitely whenever the playhead enters it.
Visual Indicators: The region will change to the color orange, and two triangles will appear on each side to indicate looping mode.
Set the number of times the region will repeat before exiting. The loop count will appear on the left side of the region.
Enable this option to automatically turn off loop mode when the playhead exits the region. If disabled, the looping settings will reset for future use.
When the loop counter decreases to zero, the final loop will begin, and the triangle of the looping region will become hollow, signaling the last iteration.
Loop regions indefinitely for continuous playback.
Specify the number of loops for precise control over playback.
Orange color and hollow triangles provide indicators of loop status.
Automatically disable looping after exiting the region for streamlined programming.
The new looping tools in the Region tab empower users to handle complex show programming with confidence and creativity. By enabling regions to loop indefinitely or for a set number of repetitions, these tools simplify playback management and ensure smooth transitions. The intuitive visual indicators make it easy to monitor loop status, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional productions. Whether you are refining intricate sequences or addressing challenging programming scenarios, these looping features elevate your workflow to new heights. Happy looping!
