Timeline Markers

Overview

Timeline Markers allow users to place marker clips on the Timeline for external DMX transport control. These clips, represented by a beige color, enable a lighting desk to trigger specific points in the Timeline, allowing a single operator to control both lighting and video.

When a lighting console sends a DMX command, the Timeline can jump to a designated marker clip, triggering video cues directly from the desk. This setup is particularly useful in environments where one operator manages both lighting and video, streamlining show control without requiring separate systems for cue execution.

Markers can be assigned unique IDs to correspond to commands from the lighting desk or cue IDs from the stage manager, ensuring quick and efficient cueing. Additionally, notes can be added to markers to provide reference details for the operator.
